lake front restoration, developement.

Design and planning the first year. Removal, excavation, grading, drainage, rock wall, beach area with pine timbers, fence and concrete pad the next.
Client is pausing this year with anticipated completion next year.
The shore had been badly altered with a cabin on a concrete pad.
We renaturalized the slopes while creating access over the grass for a small vehicle to haul entertainment supplies. The site has been graded to create secluded areas with privacy from neighbours and also open areas. The berm and shore plantings will eventually provide a visual screen as well.
The boat house is designed for openness, with 4 rolling doors. This will allow for lots of light, air circulation and shaded seating options. Also maximum access if multiple people are taking boats in or out.
The pine log steps and perimeter were milled flat with a chainsaw. Large rocks were placed around and ontop to secure them.
A short "gull wing" fence provides a sheltered backdrop for a specialty planter and also a discreet screen of the neighouring cottage.
