Lake House Residence

Located on a picturesque lake in Central Florida, this home incorporates important “passive” environmental design concepts that result in abundant day-lighting and cross-ventilation potential. Generous eight-foot overhangs shelter the walls of glass from the Florida sun and a narrow courtyard amplifies the arrival experience and creates privacy.

Upon completion, the home represented the largest residential application of Reysyta, a sustainable non-wood product. Fleetwood sliding doors open to a lap pool and outdoor dining pavilion on the tranquil site.

Built in 2010, this one-story residence sits on the edge of a lake and features 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths in 5,500 sf of living space. Polished concrete floors for both the interior and exterior set a minimalist tone while wood finishes throughout keep the home warm and inviting.
