When Remodeling this Lake Matthews view home the clients allowed us to make all the right moves to transform the previously Victorian looking interior from dark and restrictive to expansive, light, fresh, and to take advantage of that fabulous view!
Thick, dark wood balustrades and cap rail were replaced with a glass and rail with streamlined mahogany wood cap. The landing to the lower level was re-worked providing for a more visually appealing and functional transition. Wood floors were added and existing floors refinished. The home was painted a fresh soft gray green, blending the lake with the interior seamlessly, and providing a beautiful contrast to the floors.
Beautiful Peter Lik original photography was displayed on the main walls, enhanced with specialty framing lighting.
New furniture was designed and/or procured throughout, utilizing primarily tone on tone sleek fabrics to create a casual sophistication. The feel was enhanced with the selection of Fine art crystal pendant lighting and drapery panels with crystal finials.
The beautiful Peter Lik original art is enhanced with soffit-concealed 'projection' lighting that was created to illuminate the exact size of each art piece.
