Lake O. Kitchen, Dining & Entryway

Phase 1 in a whole house remodel project starting with the main floor and including the kitchen, dining room and entryway. We opened up the spaces to each other and completely updated the kitchen and entryway.

Opened up the spaces between kitchen and dining and totally updated this kitchen with new window at the sink, new doors to the backyard, new flooring throughout the main floor and a general work island for gathering and cooking.

This view from the living room is brand new - we totally re-worked how the entry opened into the living area which allowed for a centering view of the existing fireplace and much better flow from the door into the home. The stairs got a facelift with new treads, paint and a beautiful new handrail...

Entryway before - The door opened right into the living room, making the entry space feel cramped and also made it difficult to arrange furniture in the living room as you'd need to move crossways to get into the dining room.

Entryway before - We narrowed the very wide entryway closet to create a new centered entry that frames views of the stair and the living room fireplace but most of all creates a much more welcoming flow. It feels natural and right for the home.
