A vacation cottage on Lake Wequaquet with wonderful family memories became the inspiration for the design of this new home on the same property. Roof angles and a “tree house” feeling were replicated and included a tower of windows, and a private study above the master bedroom. An indoor/ outdoor connection that would work year-round was achieved with a NanaWall folding window system that opened from the living room to a porch with flexible roll down screens. Creative sleeping arrangements were added to easily accommodate extra guests, including a bed that pulls out of the wall, and ‘Loft’ sleeping space in the tower.
