I am an architectural landscape and design photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area. The regions benign climate and sophisticated homeowners allow for amazing private gardens to be installed. I even open my own garden for Open Days.

As a photographer of these gardens, I draw upon the hundreds of gardens that I have visited on three continents. My experience is that great gardens are often connected by a series of "moments" that make the landscape intimate and welcoming. I carefully look for the best placement of my camera finding the best vantage points. Next I strive to shoot at the best time of day to catch the light and let my photos tell the story. Back in my studio an elaborate post-production phase will take the "raw" photos and modify them with use of Photoshop to make the naturally looking and publish perfect photos shown here.
