Las Vegas Modern Home
The home was designed by architect Jeffrey Berkus Associates and Marc-Michaels Interior Design and constructed by Element Building. These teams took full advantage of TruStile’s Tru&Modern door collection along with its various design elements to complement the contemporary open plan living space. Throughout the home, the base door style is the TM13000 with asymmetric stiles. Made with 13 stacked rails, this door has a strong horizontal grain pattern along with a ¼ kerf cut for a bold accent. On the main level of the home, the doors are crafted in American Black Walnut while on the second floor medium density fiberboard or MDF is used for the paint grade applications.
In every home, the kitchen is a gathering place, so why not make a design statement with the pantry room door. Marc Michaels choose the TM13420 with custom 3form resin to add a natural element to this room. The mixed material rail design of this door adds three levels of dimension to create interest in this modern door.
The TM13340 welcomes guests into their own private oasis located on the main floor. In keeping with the stacked rail design but adding a special touch, this door features Edelman leather panels in Royal Pewter to add a touch of Las Vegas glamour.
The master retreat features the most striking door in the home, a TM13170, a stacked rail door with all the intermediate rails individually wrapped in Edelman Leather. The upholstered leather rails provide just a hint of softness and allure.
The hall way leading to the laundry room features two pairs of by-pass closet doors. The TM1000 design is elevated with a simple addition of a Chemetal metal insert along the edge. While the laundry room door features a full panel of 3form resin to bring light deeper into that room.
Our final stop on the tour is the mother-in-law suite, complete with a small living room, kitchen and full bathroom. The suite features one door style, the TM2000, but manufactured in two different ways. This is a great way a well designed door can elevate the look and feel of the room. In this photo, the closet doors feature a simple quirk moulding as the sticking profile, while the bedroom door has a Chemetal panel running the length of the door.
