The current island was too small and too far away from the perimeter counters. The homeowners asked for a bigger island with two bin recycling unit, trash compactor, drawer microwave, pull out cutting board, warming drawer, pull out spice cabinet, drawer fridge, larger sink with garbage disposal and raised eating area.
