Laundry/Mudroom Renovation

A cramped and closed in laundry room adjacent to the back entrance/hallway of this country home gets transformed into a light and airy multi-purpose space. Tons of extra storage and opened up walls help to create an inviting atmosphere for sewing, a change table for the grandkids and an oversized sink for dog washing.

After: new flooring and a more defined space to close off from the main living area of the house. The contractor created a 'dutch' door out of a salvaged find to keep dogs and small children inside for play time, while still being able to keep an eye on them.

Before: the back hallway was visible from the main living area of the home, next to the main floor bathroom & kitchen. The home owners wanted to separate the space, while opening it up to make it feel larger.
