LB Residence
A rear extension and refurbishment to a Victorian lower ground floor flat in Hackney, East London. This modest extension is designed to complement the original building composed of high quality heritage materials including a sooty grey brick, slim steel framed windows and a herringbone oak parquet floor leading out onto herringbone brick patio. The projects addresses the previous unsatisfactory layout inherited from a 1980's conversion into flats to transform the space into a modern residence with two large double bedrooms and a new contemporary open plan family living space with a close relationship to the generous secluded city garden.
