Total redesign of kitchen/living/dining spaces

The existing kitchen was isolated from the major living spaces of the house and existing rooms were under-utilized and placed with awkward adjacencies. The location of the existing stair created further unwanted divisions between spaces and worked against an open living concept.

The solution involved removing most of the walls in the main living space, relocating the kitchen so it became a major player in the
new open plan, relocating the existing stair, vaulting the ceiling and enlarging and reconfiguring windows.
