Loop Chairs
LOOP is the second polycarbonate injection chair from RB a
the structural idea for this chair is the crossing of 2 soap bubbles, which seem to have merged together. Particular attention has been given to the connection of the two bubbles, so that the ergonomics and comfort are maximized on the seat as well as on the back. The two round shapes are clearly highlighted and the overall design resembles a very modern reinterpretation of the medallion chair.
- Technique: the chair is manufactured in a very sophisticated mold in mirror-like polished steel. A precise amount of polycarbonate is injected into the mold, then pushed by a very specific amount of gas. Each leg features a leg base in ABS (available in 3 metallic colours), resembling a little slipper and giving the chair a sophisticated look.
- The chair is available in 7 colors: 3 from the AVA range (crystal, graphite and ruby red), 3 pastel shades (lilac, petrol and champagne), and Dark Crystal. Each chair color comes with a pre-determined leg base color. However, the client also has the option of purchasing a set of leg bases different from the standard version.
- Note: the design of the LOOP chair is softer and smaller than the one of the AVA bridge. With its round shape, LOOP can easily be matched with a majority of our tables.
For the launch of the LOOP, a limited edition of 2,000 pieces was offered in bright pink color, with vermilion pink leg bases. These units are sold individually, in a matching packaging, with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
