The clients wanted to turn their traditional kitchen into a modern, Silicon Valley-inspired space that was practical for daily use as well as for occasional entertaining. They also wanted a breakfast room that took full advantage of the beautiful outdoor views. The new design would need to harmonize the relationship among the three main common areas: the living area, kitchen, and breakfast area. These would need to feel seamless and have a smooth traffic-flow.
