The space in this lower level walk-out was dark, dreary and never used by the homeowner. The goal was to lighten and brighten it up and reconfigure the space to make it functional for the owner.
A casual sitting area that overlooks a wooded backyard was added, along with a casual dining area and entertainment space. Open shelving was utilized to define the space without closing it off. The extra storage was a plus too. Clean contemporary pieces keeps the space light and welcoming. A gallery wall allowed the homeowner to show off some treasured pieces and provides a dynamic entry to the space at the bottom of the stairs. A color palette of sage green, moss green and beige brings the feeling of
the out of doors in and keeps the space calm and fresh.
