Luxe Estate
The strong architecture and open lawn on this property set the stage for simple supportive plantings -- massed groupings of strongly architectural plants.
In spring, the fruiting apples put on a magnificent display in combination with old-fashioned Poeticus daffodils. Then, a large Peony garden takes center stage. As summer arrives, the ornamental grasses push forth alongside catmint, russian sage, black-eyed susans, and hydrangeas. These will all provide seasonal interest until November, the grasses last all winter.
We helped prepare for a wedding on the grounds in 2018 -- some photos reveal wedding tents and props. Part of the preparation was creating the meadow walk comprised of white/blue flowers with bloom time coinciding with wedding --no small feat, but we pulled it off!
A vegetable garden is nestled amongst the horse paddocks -- to look natural in this grand setting.
