This gorgeous, energy efficient, single floor home is nestled in the woods out of street view and blends in beautifully with the New England landscape. The timber frame structure and SIPS (structural insulated panels) exterior was provided by the Shelter Institute in Maine. The spacious interior is filled with natural light and accented by the stunning beam structure throughout. The homeowner GC’d the project himself and the final product is truly a reflection of this passion for woodwork which can be easily seen when entering the expansive, dream-come-true wood-shop in the basement of the home.
