M & T Kitchen

When the floors needed to be replaced due to a flood, the owners decided it was time to update the kitchen. We came up with a new layout that everyone loves. The perimeter cabinetry is a more simple, clean, elegant style. The island is both traditional and rustic with a custom green-wash finish.

A decorative bead molding was used to add an architectural element to the side of the refrigerator panel without the expense of adding decorative paneling.

This is a multi-functional area. The left side houses the brooms and ladder. The right side serves as a mini office for mom. The center section has 4 cubbies for coats behind closed doors.

We added cabinetry to both sides of the fire place. We used floating shelves and finished the top and sides to allow for the painted wall to show through. Kristie Barnett, The Decorologist chose the color scheme and furnishings.
