Pebble Beach cowboy requests an upgrade.. preferred to keep his cabinets and his Charley Harper collection. He claimed to have little taste yet had clear ideas so we took shared approach.

Note the book-matched Black Taurus granite, fantastic gold faucet/drain combo and under-counter lighting. I found this sweet oak, breakfast table on Craigs which paired well with our new cork flooring; a softer surface for arthritic limbs.

This woodworking cowboy prefers to read by the evening fire so we added adjustable ceiling lights to go with the new tufted, leather chair, a replacement chair based on an old design. He didn't care about the other seating in the room so I stayed on budget, kept it clean and included a blue velvet companion chair..we're in Pebble Beach, after all!
