In this Manhasset renovation, the client moved into a beautiful custom built classic brick home . The design challenge was to open up the space to the nearby den to gain more openness and to add an island. The wall was taken down as far as possible without moving the staircase, and the rear foyer walls were opened allowing your eyes to see the entire back of the house . The cabinets are Hampton style white, flat recessed reversed raised panals in an inset door, with a dark chocolate island. Cabinets and three piece molding are running up to the 9' ceiling. The sink wall originally had a pair of doors leading outside but were bricked up and windows set into the existing brick opening allowing the homeowner to enjoy the gorgeous property standing at the sink. The countertop is Carrera.
