This client wanted to completely redo their outdated kitchen, heavy with brown cabinets and a busy countertop. We redesigned the island to accomodate a drawer style microwave and created a space for a double oven and warming drawer where the original oven and storage drawer were. The tile inset above the stove draws in the sage green chairs and decor in the dining nook, and the weathered wood light fixture creates a flow with the lighting in the formal dining room and dining nook. We removed the heavy rounded arches and flattened the bar-height counter to create a gathering place for friends and family. Two-toned navy and white cabinets, a light countertop, and the addition of can lights brighten up the space.
