Mar Vista is an area of Los Angeles near Venice California. This project, a modern bungalow that was essentially a tear down renovation and small addition to a 1930’s 1100 square foot bungalow. To utilize all the advantages of the Southern California climate, we created walls of windows with Western Window Systems. Sliding glass door-walls open entirely to "exterior rooms”. By blurring the boundaries between inside and out we created passive cooling from the pacific ocean air. It was our pleasure to invite Process Studio PLLC to work with us on the development of this project.
