For the interior design in this river-front home, located in Marshfield on Boston's south shore, the colors displayed by Mother Nature were the starting point. In the living room we combined warm, autumnal hues with spring-like shades of green. Pillows and accessories in a seaside blue add pops of color. In the kitchen, we reconfigured the cabinets to maximize the views by moving them from the water-facing wall to the interior walls. The new cabinetry is stained in cherry to complement the red oak floors. A center island offers storage as well as a place to dine and socialize.
