What to do with a dark, dated master bath? All the client knew was she wanted a chandelier with some “bling”. Check! Now for the bathroom. With a great need to lighten the overall space, we developed a decorative tile scheme from a singular selection in different sizes. The shower stall was enlarged and prepped with blocking material for grab bars. We incorporated a hydrorail by Kohler to simplify the valves between the rainshower head and the hand held unit. The pressure valve was located near the glass door so the client could turn on the shower without stepping inside. A beautiful niche was the final touch! With less space for the vanity, we designed a custom vanity with u-shaped deep drawers under the vessel sinks with sliding interior trays. Along with the center drawers and open shelving below, this vanity functioned more efficiently for the client than its larger counterpart. Our last challenge was the oversized bathtub. With just a small clip of the surround corner, a custom wooden skirt and an updated tile surface, we were able to transform this goliath into a charming oasis! The wainscot and the plantation shutters were the finishing touches! What was once a dark, cavern for bathing is now a magnificent bounty for bathing!
