While planning a bathroom remodel in a historic home presents some unique design challenges, the Hammer Contractors team was ready for the challenge. The original 1930’s master bathroom suite had a layout that left two small reach-in closets, a small shower and an uncomfortable tub. Our design team developed a new layout that met the family’s specific needs for their bathroom remodel and still kept the classic styling of the historic home. The new space became much more inviting, providing a large walk-in, performance shower system (including a bench) and a jetted tub with a perfect view of the new flat panel TV. The calacutta marble, with pistachio stone inlays and borders, was designed to create a cool, classic style of that 1930’s era while subtly bringing in warmer earth tones.
