The goal: Design and produce an elegant bath addition with a small footprint in a beautiful old home in Bates-Hendrix.
A small coat closet and 8x10 "parlor" within a 2nd floor master bedroom were absorbed. A full bath was added as well as a functional closet. Original reptile-finished woodwork was retained and creatively re-purposed. An overriding objective was to produce a finished product that would not look new, but rather as if it had always been. Plumbing and HVAC routes were artfully mapped out so as not to create special chases or bulkheads in the ceiling below.
