The space was updated with all new fixtures, tile, and lighting from a early 90s tract home master bathroom to a modern custom bathroom. Originally the space held a 48" shower set behind a partition wall in front of entry doorway, and then a drop-in soaking tub set opposite. The location of the shower and tub were flipped to allow for a larger 60" shower, and make the space more cohesive and open. The shower features a low-lip pan and a multifunction faucet, corner shelving, and two tiled niches. A 4-6 corner soaking tub was used so that a longer run of cabinetry could be used for the vanity, and the angled profile of the tub was the almost an exact match to the angle profile of the wall opposite. One good thing about the original space was a large mirror and more than ample lighting was present in the vanity area, which was great for preparing in the bathroom. This was maintained after the renovation with twin three-bulb lighting fixtures and a large mirror set opposite the mirrored medicine cabinets.
