Mid-Century Pool Home

Modern Nest reinvigorated this tired Mid-Century Home at the top of Mulholland Drive. Our goal was to infuse warmth into this modern gem and not make it feel cold and imposing.

There is nothing cold about this space. The neutral color palette with pops of blue really blend into the landscape creating a feeling of comfort and ease.

Outdoor furniture has come a long way. This sectional is great looking and very comfortable. I created the custom artwork with carved limestone tiles and then framed them in teak. The curtains are great to shield the sun as it rises above the house.

Yard space is at a premium for homes in the hills This yard was all cement when I met with the client. The scope of work was to add warmth to the space, redesign the existing pool and create a covered patio that would allow the client to entertain outdoors.

The front of this home was originally clad is brick that was crumbling and stained. We had 12 x 24 pieces of limestone cut in this custom shape. This sounds expensive but was really quite reasonable and makes such a big impact on the curb appeal of this home.
