Midtown Living Room Design

This room started with builders beige walls and two red and outdated sofas. I wanted to transform my own living room to show clients both my style and creativity. I believe it's important to purchased furniture that is contemporary, comfortable and timeless. Most homeowners would not paint their walls black however, this room would look equally beautiful if the walls were light grey, taupe or even navy. Keeping the furniture neutral colours gives me the opportunity to change up the accent colour from yellow to anything else. I wanted to room to feel cozy, comfortable and dramatic. Using black and white as the main colours gives the space a sophisticated but approachable style. The colour and patterns of the pillows moves around the room which gives interests and hint of colour. Carpet tiles were used because the room is not a perfect square and can be easily changed or moved around.
