The Miller Residence was a derelict structure that was essentially forgotten. The 127-year-old house was falling down, and rear yard was crowded with abandoned cars and trash. This property was anything but attractive. Fortunately, the Millers stepped in and took a rough canvas to a complete work of art. This included moving a historic house, excavating a large basement, stabilizing adjacent structures, and adding a completely new house attached at the South of the lot. Many HARC approval meetings took place during 2013. They created extensive construction documents that actually went dormant for a year while the owner was deciding to build. Finally, in the Summer of 2014 Bill Ward Construction took on their bold vision, and built the home today. This house is proudly standing right on the sidewalk for perpetual enjoyment.
