Developed over a 6 year collaborative period, the Milton Glaser for Lapchi rug collection has over 100 custom dyes in 100-150 knot Tibetan wool combined with either fine Chinese or Indian raw silks. Mr. Glaser, known for his brand design for magazines and products, his philanthropy and social justice posters as well as his painting and illustrations, specified no color changes, yet allows custom sizes and shapes. There are 16 designs by Milton Glaser, in 41 design colorways in this project which premiered in the Santa Monica Museum of Art in spring of 2012.
