Minnetonka Bath

Zen Garden was the inspiration for this wonderful Master Bathing Suite. The space is divided by a curved walnut paneled wall. The portion with the wood flooring if the "active" side and the portion with the flagstone floor is the "passive" side.

As you enter the Bathing area from the Master Sleeping, you are cradled by the walnut wall on your left side and a brushed stainless steel panel on your right.

Bath Entrance

The passive portion has a hydro spa tub bookended by custom glass waterfall columns that are lit from the bottom. When relaxing in the tub you hear the sound of a babbling brook all around you. In the evening they provide a candle level glow to the room.

Art glass panels let the cascading water flow down them into the river rock at the bottom.

Bath Waterfall

The sand blasted glass box contains the shower. It was placed under the two existing skylights to capture the sunlight on the glass to make it glow.

We used horizontal grain walnut both on the vanity and the curved wall. The flooring is teak wood.

Bath Vanity

The screen wall with a sliding panel has rice paper laminated between glass to give us the warm glow of light and the feel of Japanese detailing.
