This home was awarded THE ASID LEGACY OF DESIGN TEXAS 2015 AWARD; Honorable Mention for Traditional Residence >3500 sq.ft. The Client requested the house they had lived in for several years be transformed into a "home" since it still looked like they just moved in with empty walls and rooms, bare windows and high ceilings. They had most of their major pieces of furniture like the sofas, chairs, dining room furniture, and beds and dressers & a few pieces of art. The designer started with window treatments scaled to fit the tall windows, then rugs, mirrors, art, accessories, lamps, some furniture items and a few tall trees to soften the corners and bring the ceilings down to human scale. The whole family was very happy with the beautiful, finished result.
