An original vintage brass chandelier was the jumping off point for this modern whole home remodel. The starburst shape and petal details echoed the home owners love of things modern and pretty. This open concept design called for a complete reworking of the main floor of this 1970's bi-level, offering improved form, function and flow. The new kitchen cabinets were painted in a warm grey finish contrasted by the dark espresso island topped with white marble look quartz counter tops. This new open concept design called for a light and airy palette with a stunning marble fireplace anchoring the living room off the new kitchen. Warm satin brass accents and vintage inspired lighting are pretty paired with the cool greys. Vintage mid-century pieces are mixed with new furnishings creating interest and making the space feel personal. Subtle geometric, and asymmetrical patterns round out the modern flair, while classic details in the mill work and cabinetry keep the space feeling elegant. Bold abstract art and minimalist decor allow the homes simplicity to be a restful and sophisticated space.
