ASID award for Kitchen Design. Mix up a little Shaker, Industrial, Mid-Century, and French Country, stir in a little bling, serve with coffee (or wine), and you have the recipe for a perfect kitchen and dining area. Called the Cat's Meow because the resident cats said so.

ASID award for kitchen design. A small kitchen and small dining room became one stunningly beautiful space by taking out a half wall that separated them and adding in lots of drama.

A traditional dining room turned into a banquette with an expandable table. Cozy seating for 4 or comfortable seating for 8. The garage and pantry doors are flat panels that were faux painted to look like raised panels. Finn the cat relaxes on the half wall.

ASID award for kitchen design. A standard pantry unit was retrofitted so that the bottom half is storage from the front, and the top half is a coffee bar from the side, which faces the eating area. Not enough space for a big island? No problem, just add a small free standing one

A niche built into the banquette seating area houses cat food and water. Out of the way for people traffic, but easy access for the cats.
