Modern Home
The house is a composite structure with a steel column and beam superstructure that allows for large spans in the public spaces and large expanses of glass at the facades. The remainder of the upper level is wood framed with 2 x 6 framing at the exterior walls and glue-lam joists. The lower level presents just one facade with the rest of the form buried into the hillside with walls of the poured-in-place concrete and steel web trusses to support the upper level flooring and green roof.
