This was an update of kitchen in a 1950's home in Suburban Richfield. The customers wanted a modern and convenient kitchen, with nod towards the home's Mid Century style. The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed and an island created in the opening. This made space for a prep sink and much needed countertop. New trim and cabinets were installed and a colorful tile backsplash.
