Our goal for this master bath was to transform it from a dated, dark room to a modern, bright and airy space fit for the queen of the house. We also wanted to provide the client with plenty of storage and organizational features. Various types of lighting were a big consideration and needed to provide both task and ambient light. This vision required that the entire room be gutted and put back together using modern materials and accessories. The shower was enlarged from a small enclosed unit to a large open shower with a luxurious floating bench on the far wall. Exquisite mosaic tile runs the vertical length of the wall, mimicking a blue waterfall. This mosaic was also used on the vanity backsplash, bringing balance to the room. The sophisticated custom vanity pays extreme attention to detail with the floating elements carrying over from the shower. The darker floor tile grounds the space while the bright white wall tile plays beautifully in the sunshine from the skylight.
The dual sided master closets were originally closed in with walls and sliding doors. We opened up the walls and provided freestanding closet systems with full length mirrors. Coordinated doors to the closet units with the wall tile from the bathroom brighten up what was once a dark and uninviting space. Each closet unit was specially outfitted with components to meet the client’s needs.
