This remodel of a kitchen in a mid-century home, was created to provide both a library and cooking atmosphere. The owners, now empty nesters, planned to spend more time reading and admiring the wooded ravines outside their kitchen. By removing a partial, structural wall, and opening the kitchen into one large room, a true cook's kitchen with ample sitting space came to life in this project. Peony wallpaper by AreaEnvironment was used as a mural behind a stand alone steel book case that displays books, art and serving pieces.
