Montana Coffee Table

Our design studio works on a variety of projects both commercial and residential; we relish the opportunity to create something beautiful at every turn. Recently we were asked to re-conceive the funishings in a local mall owned by Starwood. We combined some our favorite companies’ work into a coffee table in the shape of Montana. The bottom is a tapered, lightweight concrete form made by our long-time favorite Zachary A Designs of Chicago—-while the top is a thick slab of wood crafted by our friends at the Old Wood Company in Asheville, NC. We even inset a buffalo nickel to designate the location of the Rimrock Mall project. It’s a study in contrast and a marriage of materials both unexpected and durable.
