This small corner lot in Edina presented an exciting challenge: tear down the homeowners’ existing home and create a new space for a young family with all of the amenities. Included in this tightly planned design is a spacious laundry room on the second floor to service the adjacent 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We added a mini laundry on the first floor to accommodate the often overlooked laundry needs of a busy family dealing with sports uniforms, pets, and everyday household chores. Ample mud-room storage, a convenient run-the-house office between the mudroom and kitchen, and sport court below the garage are just a few more features of this charming home. Filled with exceptional details, both inside and out, and custom-scaled and designed to effectively use every square foot of space, while maintaining the integrity and charm of its established neighborhood.
