I began making these musicstands after creating chancel furnishings for churches only to see black commercial musicstands in the space when the job was completed. These stands use fully adjustable commercial bases, either spring loaded or locking, can be done in almost any wood and can even have text or a logo carved into them. These look terrific in music rooms, living rooms or almost anywhere, including performance venues or churches.
