Downsizing from a much larger home, this was a young family of four, so we had to design spaces that felt larger and more open in a much smaller package. Despite being a tear-down, it is important that this home blend in with the neighborhood and retain its accessibility to neighbors and passersby. We achieved this with a welcoming large front sitting porch.
The client wanted a home with a timeless look; one in keeping with traditional architecture. We designed brackets and corbels to accent the home’s gables, and specified a more elaborate crown window head trim detail.
