Transforming an unfinished basement into a finished living area is one of the best ways to not only add value to the home but also to expand the home without a costly addition.

Our clients had an unfinished basement that they wanted to turn into a spacious nanny suite with a playroom for their young children. We completely redesigned the entire basement layout to open it up and make ample room for a bedroom, bathroom, a living area, and an open area playroom.

This basement was done from scratch, new framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing and mechanical relocates. We also added a new bedroom and a complete bathroom. All aesthetics and materials were of the highest quality. New flooring throughout this basement and finished it off with new doors, trim and paint.

For a stylish, functional space that accommodates both adults and children, our focus was storage and seating. To accomplish this, one feature we installed was a custom floor to wall gorgeous closet along the entire wall of the playroom which gave the client an elegant place to hide away the children’s toys.

The last addition to the basement was a gorgeous, child-safe electric built-in fireplace with a stone veneer. Fireplace stone walls are impactful.
