New kitchen added to an 1850s house in the location of the original kitchen 'ell' that was too dilapidated to retain. Original rafters were salvaged and reused, and the original brick from the exterior was used on the new exterior. Cabinets were all hand-built and finished by the contractor. Reclaimed longleaf heat pine floors were incorporated.
