A unique addition/remodel project that we finished up around Christmas this year. This split level home had another split level in-law suite added to the side of it about 18 years ago, the two homes were only accessible through the lower level garage area. The time came for the two main levels to be tied in together and used as one large open space, as well as tie in and update the outdoor decks. ProBuilt accomplished this by adding a small addition onto the deck off the back of the main home’s dining room with a sloping roof to allow for a few steps up to access the main level of the what now was going to be the sunroom. A skylight in this sloping roof of the addition brought so much beautiful natural light to both areas, the new Harvey windows provided beautiful sunset views to their backyard, and a cozy fireplace with a new 42” Orion Tradition Heliovision electric fireplace insert made the space just perfect for this family to enjoy. The small addition to serve as a transition area to connect two separate spaces together ended up adding such a beautiful, custom, artistic, open-flow space for this 1973 split level home. Unique projects like this are so fun to work on, the final result turned out better than even what we imagined it could be! Today, those homeowners are sitting by the fire in their new sunroom watching the snow fall outside. A perfect, peaceful space to use for many years to come.
