Before pantry - The corner of the kitchen was housed with a front loading two door closet style opening. The limited interior space hosted a variety of problems: Fixed shelving. Void at top of storage. Limited depth.

The original kitchen had a cramped, U shape design that didn't allow a larger refrigerator into the space. The limited countertop around the refrigerator offered poor retrieval in/out of the refrigerator during cooking/prepping meals.
