Perched atop a hill in North Beach, this project combined two flats to create a single residence that fills a wide array of social, artistic, and culinary-pursuits for this active couple. The upper flat was conceived as a bright and airy space for entertaining and family gatherings. Upon entering the lower flat, the couple wanted to feel transported to an intimate space that functions as a private library, music studio, and artistic workshop.
