"Mild" upgrade to existing bathroom to freshen things up. It is said that the greenest products are the ones you already own, so we tried to keep much of the existing material while changing the overall look and feel of this small bathroom. Most wall tile was kept intact (patched as required), but a rear accent wall was given a bold look with handmade, hand glazed tile with a deep lemon yellow finish. The wood floor was covered over with Schluter Ditra underlayment (very thin, but effective) and tiled with penny round ceramic tile. A cherry vanity and cabinet added needed storage space, and a glass shower door modernized the entire look - the top lines up with one of the grout lines on the wall tile. Wall paper made from recycled material picks up the color from the rear wall.
