This house built in 1940 has the rich wood trim and dark wood floors and stair treads that required a colorful runner to add to its unique character. This customer chose a Nourison Parthia PT01-BLU in a beautiful light blue background with jewel tone accents. the stairrunner is 30 inches wide and made of 100% Premium wool from China. The edges are hand sewn and serged to give you the effect of a handmade rug. Now for the custom installation features to look for.
This custom job had two flights of stairs with connecting hallways requiring app 125 ft of material.
As you look at the photos, notice how the borders all flow and match with no interruptions of design.
This is the difference of using someone with the knowledge of the product and how designs should go together. Hallways are finished with a custom end cap leaving some wood showing. This wood acts like a picture frame showcasing the workmanship. Each step is wrapped tight under the nosing (Hollywood Installation) which helps the stair runner perform better and last longer. As you enter the second floor landing, we needed to do a t-seam along with a miter to be able to continue the runner down the hall.
