In 2022, we converted our second bedroom, previously used as an office, into a nursery. We started by redoing the hardwood flooring throughout our house using a pre-finished hickory professionally installed by Evolution Builders, then added a fresh coat of paint. The walls are Behr's "Feng Shui" (the same color they were before), the trim is Sherwinn William's "Alabaster" to match the rest of the house. Then we got to decorating!

The crib and dresser are by Babyletto, part of their Lolly line in white and pine. I got the crib used from Craigslist and found the dresser with changing table topper for half price on Floorfound. We picked up a number of items from Target, including the cube storage (repurposed from our living room), glider (Delta Children's Adley glider in cream, a Target exclusive), and bookshelf, the back of which we painted to match the walls. The art in the room is all Etsy. The closet is covered with a single curtain panel from the shop CuteTinyTr and doubles as a mural, and the art above the crib is from HopAndPop, which I had printed on matte photo paper using a professional photo printing service and then framed in inexpensive pine wood and plexiglass frames from Amazon. We picked up the rug on a trip to Ikea, and so far it has been surprisingly easy to keep clean.

This room is one of the sunniest in our house and gets beautiful natural light from south and east facing windows. We have cordless cellular blinds on the windows, then installed Ralph Lauren blackout curtains hung on wraparound curtain rods to sufficiently darken the room for daytime naps. In the evening, two LED lights from Wayfair and the overhead integrated light on our Hunter fan do the trick.

I'm ecstatic with the way this room came out, and all on a modest budget as well. Now we just need to add a tiny human to complete it!
